However, we were always frustrated that we could not offer affordable assistance for very small translation jobs and answers to simple personal and business questions. This is because many people would contact us anonymously for help without any real intention of paying even a token sum. Many times we’d receive no response at all when we replied sincerely with information and a quote. And all that wasted time in following up needlessly to so many requests made the entire process of dealing with such projects uneconomical.

But small jobs are often very important in special ways and we thought long and hard about a format for offering this in a manner that benefits everyone. Because we specialize in Korea and the Korean language, we know that we’re one of the best resources on the Web for such information. Indeed, some of the most common inquiries from visitors include heartfelt requests for the translation of someone’s name into Korean – or a simple phrase like "Thank you." or "I love you." At other times, a businessperson is getting ready to visit Korea and just wants to ask a last-minute question about cultural or business etiquette.

By stating up-front the terms of our service in order to ensure that we are contacted only by people with a true need, we can reduce our administrative costs and offer a price that anybody can afford.   Your request will be handled by one of our associates who has lived or is living in Korea and who will take the time to carefully explain the answer to your question. If you’ve got a short translation request and our reply to you includes Korean text, we’ll e-mail you an Adobe Acrobat file (.pdf format) – along with simple instructions for viewing and printing the file on your computer.

• Business Questions
  Business questions require a higher level of expertise and will be handled by a consultant who has extensive experience in the Korean business world. You will benefit from our knowledge obtained during many years working in Korea and which is not available anywhere else at such an affordable price.

Please ask questions that:

• Are related to Korea and the Korean language
• Are brief and to the point
• Include ALL the information necessary to appropriately respond to your question.

Please don’t ask questions that:

• That involve more than the services described here. (We provide support for small jobs that go beyond the scope of answers to simple questions and very short translations at www.koreanconsulting.com but at a minimum price that is somewhat higher.)
